Audiovisual Virtual Reality Distraction in Reduction of Pain and Anxiety Intention in Post-operative Patients: A Review Study

BACKGROUND: After surgery, patients could show psychological complaints such as worry, anxiety, pain, and depression. This condition last for weeks interfere with recovery, both psychologically physiologically, if it is not getting proper fast treatment. Patient relaxation may reduce post-operative increase overall healing, prevent hematoma other complications. AIM: study aims to know the effect of virtual reality (VR) audiovisual distraction on decreasing pain intensity anxiety patients. METHODS: research was a literature review. The source taken from several databases, Google Scholar, EBSCO, PubMed, ProQuest, keyword “audiovisual; VR; distraction; pain; post-operative.” From Scholar database, found 6060 articles, EBSCO 194, PubMed 50, ProQuest 47. going through selection process, nine articles were meet inclusion criteria. RESULTS: Audiovisual has positive influence relief in transfer be done method that diverts patient’s attention more comfortable pleasant feelings.
